Kate + Jay's Wedding at The Roundhouse
Kate and Jay were married at The Roundhouse in Beacon, NY on a gorgeous June day. These two hold a special place in my heart because they were planning their wedding when covid struck, and instead of being down and out about it, they pivoted in a big way… deciding to postpone their wedding by TWO years, and having a baby in the mean time. So instead of doing an engagement shoot, we did a maternity shoot at the one and only Awosting Falls in Minnewaska State Park. Now their son was able to be the guest of honor at his parents wedding, and he is the spitting image of Jay.
Their wedding was worth the two year wait, and was such a joy to document. They thought about every detail and it was a breathtaking celebration of love.
As the warm sunshine poured down on a picturesque June afternoon, a beautiful and heartfelt wedding ceremony took place in the sun, celebrating both Kate + Jay’s cultures. The newlyweds, surrounded by family and friends, selected the outdoor ceremony location at The Roundhouse, with the backdrop of the industrial and curated nature of the venue and a circular arch covered adorned with lush greenery and white florals.
Elegant table linen table clothes were adorned with delicate spring blooms arranged by Strange Vine Studio, complemented by the giant circular Edison light chandelier/installation by LNJ Weddings.
Guests were welcomed with refreshing cocktails and were invited to indulge in an afternoon of fun with an array of lawn games, including cornhole, giant Jenga, and croquet from Upstate Jamboree. These games created a relaxed and playful atmosphere, encouraging guests to mingle and enjoy the beautiful outdoor setting both before the ceremony start time, and during cocktail hour.
As the sun began to set, the evening transformed into a magical celebration. Edison lights and greenery adorned the reception where the bride and groom shared a heartfelt first dance and then partied the night away. They had a champagne tower that had a warm glow from the Edison lights (see the photos below) and Kate had a dress change later in the evening to a super flirty and fun white mini dress.
With love radiating from every detail, this beautiful June wedding was a perfect blend of elegance and fun, creating lasting memories for all who attended. It was a day that truly celebrated the magic of love, enhanced by playful moments and the serene beauty of The Roundhouse.

Interested on booking The Roundhouse for your wedding? Here are some things you should know…
The Roundhouse Beacon is a historic wedding venue located in the Hudson Valley in New York. (I actually grew up just TWO blocks from the venue, back when it was basically a condemned brick structure). I like to describe the venue as simple/modern garden party meats industrial magic (ie: original wood beams, exposed brick walls, and floor-to-ceiling windows, indoor AND outdoor ceremony/cocktail hour options). And if that doesn’t sound magical enough, the venue is set right along side the Fishkill Creek and Beacon Falls (I used to skip rocks with my dad when I was a kid here).
How much do weddings at The Roundhouse cost? Starting at $32,500 (“Starting prices don't include service fees, taxes, gratuity, and rental fees. Guest count and seasonality may also affect prices. Peak season for this venue is Apr-Nov".)
How many guests can The Roundhouse hold for a wedding? Up to 200 guests
Ceremony + Cocktail Hour Options? Both indoor and outdoor options.
What does booking The Roundhouse include? House tables, chairs, linen, and place settings.
Does The Roundhouse offer in house catering? YES. (And it’s delicious)
Are there in-house coordinators/planners? YES (and I love them all. If I am being 100% honest, when it comes to the day of the wedding, I have never found a need for additional wedding planners outside of the in house coordinators. It becomes a “too many cooks in the kitchen” situation. The Roundhouse staff are beyond professional and amazing. “Our event managers are ready to assist with all aspects of planning, and our professional service staff is there to ensure every event is exceptionally executed.” (an excerpt from The Knot)
Does The Roundhouse have accommodations for wedding guests? Yes. The Roundhouse is also an amazing restaurant, lounge, and boutique hotel. I have found that couples almost always use The Penthouse to stay and get ready in, which features a tub right in the center of the rooms. My only issue with some of the rooms in the other parts of the hotel, is that the toilets do not have doors for privacy. hahaha
